US based SVAM wants to set up software delivery center in Bangladesh

Anil Kapoor, President and CEO of Offshore Information Service Provider (SVAM), a US-based IT service provider, has expressed interest in setting up an IT center in Bangladesh. Through this center, SVAM seeks to provide software engineers in the IT sector with appropriate training for the fourth industrial revolution to the companies in Bangladesh as per the demand. The chairman of the company expressed this interest after meeting State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at ICT Tower in Agargaon on Wednesday. Seeking the cooperation of the state minister for this, Anil Kapoor briefed the state minister about the various activities of 'SVAM'. He said SVAM is one of the leading IT providers in the United States and is interested in setting up a software delivery center in Bangladesh for this purpose. He said that innovative technology is the lifeline of business and therefore, business-centric, such as mobile force automation, IT consulting and stuffing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, robotics process automation (RPA), project solutions, technology-based services. SVAM President would like to set up their organization Prospective Software Delivery Center in Bangladesh to train IT engineers in Bangladesh with US trainers in all these areas. After hearing all this, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, "Bangladesh is ahead of many countries in the IT sector of the world." 0.65 million freelancers are earning 500 million dollars in foreign exchange. Broadband internet service has reached the villages even. He assured full cooperation in setting up the Prospective Software Delivery Center by SVAM and handed over a souvenir gift of the party symbol boat to the guest. Manish Sehgal, Director, North Shore Technologies Ltd., an Indian partner of SVAM, Dhananjay Kumar, Vice-President of SVAM, Barrister AHM Belal Chowdhury, Director of FM Associates, John Dunham, Chief of Economic Affairs Unit at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, Shila Ahmed, Economic / Commercial Expert at US Embassy Dhaka were present at that time. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park and Sami Ahmed, Managing Director, Startup Bangladesh Limited were also present on the occasion.
